Fajr Film Festival names nominees

The 35th edition of the Fajr Film Festival has released the list of nominees in different categories of the main competition section.

The organizers released the list of the nominees in different categories of the main competition section on the event’s website.

‘Hot Summer’, ‘Ferrari’, ‘Under the Smoky Roof’, ‘Midday Event’, and ‘No Date, No Signature’ are nominated for a Crystal Simorgh of Best Title.

The nominees of Best Director Crystal Simorgh include Vahid Jalilvand for ‘No Date, No Signature’, Ebrahim Irajzad for ‘Hot Summer’, Pouran Derakhshandeh for ‘Under the Smoky Roof’, Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian for ‘Midday Event’, Alireza Davoudnejad for ‘Ferrari’ and Rambod Javan for ‘Negar’.

The nominees for Best Screenplay Crystal Simorgh were Vahid Jalilvand for ‘No Date, No Signature’, Saeed Roustaee for ‘Street Congestion’, Payam Karami for ‘Hot Summer’, Kambozia Partovi for ‘Ferrari’ as well as Monir Qeydi and Arsalan Amiri for ‘Villas’.

Nominees for Best Actor In a Leading Role Crystal Simorgh are Ali Mosaffa for ‘Hot Summer’, Amir Aqaee for ‘No Date, No Signature’, Mohsen Tanabandeh for ‘Ferrari’, Mehrdad Seddiqian for ‘Midday Event’ and Hamid Farrokhnejad for ‘The Good, The Bad and The Weird’.

Nominations for a Best Actress In a Leading Role Crystal Simorgh were given to Parinaz Izadyar in ‘Hot Summer’, Merila Zarei in ‘Under the Smoky Roof’, Leila Hatami in ‘Subdue’, Ghazal Shakeri in ‘Sara and Ida’, Sara Bahrami in ‘Italy, Italy’ and Hedyeh Tehrani in ‘Israfil’.

Nominees of the Best Actress In a Supporting Role are Giti Qasemi, Mina Sadati, Zakieh Behbahani, Sorayya Qasemi, as well as Shabnam Moqaddami.

Saed Soheili, Navid Mohammadzadeh, Hadi Hejazifar, Nader Fallah, and Javad Ezzati are nominated for Best Actor In a Supporting Role.

Best picture, best makeup, best special effects, best scenic design, best costume design, best sound, best music, best editing, best photo are the other categories of the ‘Sode Simorgh’ competitive section of Fajr Festival.

In a Tuesday ceremony, the nominees for the latest edition of Fajr Film Festival were honored.

Established in 1982, the Fajr Film Festival celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.

Since its establishment, the Fajr Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.

The winners of this edition of the event will be announced during the closing ceremony at Tehran’s Milad Tower on February 9.
